Shakespeare was probably the best writer of all time. He was born in Stratford in 1582. He lived in London for 25 years where he wrote most of his plays, He had three children with his wife Anne Hathway , He then died in 1616 when he was 52 years old. In addition to play writing he also started his own association The Lord Chamberlain's Men.
I found an article talking about Shakespeare's life and every fact you would want, But as I scrolled down I also found a article explaining how Shakespeare was a fraud and had no connection to any of his plays.

Notes on Hamlet
At first I was not too excited on reading Hamlet, I had heard it was very boring with no kind of excitement,But as we started reading I could not drop the book. I was hooked on the plot and how Hamlet's father died but it turned out that his uncle poisoned him.But what interested me the most was Hamlet, His character was so strange and unlike any I had seen. I first thought that he was crazy but as the story progressed I realized that Hamlet was very smart and always two steps ahead of everybody. I think since Shakespeare wrote it the ending is going to be a tragedy. Hamlet will complete his objective but it will come at a high cost.

Lit Analyses #1
1) The first novel I decided to read was Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami, The plot primarily focuses on two main characters, Kafka Tamura, A fifteen-year-old boy from Tokyo running away from home because of hi abusive father. The second main character is Nakata an older man that can communicate with cats. Throughout the story the our setting is in the south of Japan where their main objective is to reach a spiritual realm. I addition to Kafka running away from home, He is also faced with the prophecy that his father told him. We find Nakata making friends with a truck driver and becoming somewhat attached to him.
2)The theme from the novel I would say is the idea of transformation, This theme primarily has to do with Kafka. In the beginning of the story we find him running away from home plagued with his fathers prophecy. He has nowhere to go and very little money. But as each chapter progresses we see him transforming and becoming more and more self-dependent, creating a schedule for himself. In addition to change in his outside world we also see a transformation in character, Forgetting about his own father and ultimately becoming his own man.
3)The tone of the book I would say is a blend of confusion and assertiveness, Primarily for the fact how the plot is presented to the reader and the different events that take place because of it. Many times throughout the novel you find yourself confused having to think about what happened in the previous section. "Fate is like a sandstorm which keeps changing directions", "There is no moon no sense of time", and "Fate will cut your flesh like a thousand razor blades".
4) In the novel we had a sense of Surrealism, An example of surrealism is throughout the story where Kafka's dreams almost seem real but they turn out to actually be real. The second element is Foreshadowing, We see this in Nakata's dad prophecy basically pointing out to the reader what ultimately is going to happen. The third element is the authors diction which adds to the readers confusion throughout the story.

1) For my second Lit analyses I read The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros, Our main character is Esperanza. The novel primarily focuses on the obstacles Esperanza has to overcome, For example poverty, gender, and race. The novel also focuses on her home and the hate she has for it, and her dreams of one day owning the beautiful house on top of the hill.
2) From my perspective the story's theme is a blend of gender and the whole idea of being an alien in your own society. Gender plays a major role in the novel when Esperanza is exposed to the reality that women are confined to their roles in society, Taking care of the household chores and often being abused. In the novel were also introduce to the idea of being an alien in your society. Esperanza realizes that she has less opportunities then those who are native born and like many characters in the novel the sense of loneliness, isolation, shame, and not belonging.
3) The tone I would say is "HOPEFUL", because of the fact that Esperanza never loses a characters strongest aspect which is hope. "Someday I would have a best friend", "One day I will own that beautiful house", "My grandma told me that my name means hope".

First we see Personification when Esperanza describes that the curtains winked at her, A metaphor "Ms Dahs is the sunshine of my life,Tone is hopeful when Esperanza explains her desire to improve her life in the future, We see that the beautiful home on top of the hill symbolizes Esperanza's biggest desire, hopes, dreams, and the key element that drives her to overcome her obstacles.

TO FACEBOOK OR NOT TO FACEBOOK?
A year ago I would tell you Facebook was a waste of time and its the exact same thing as My Space, But today I would tell you that Facebook is the way to go. Like many I first though Facebook was a waste of time, I simply didn't get it, What's the point of chatting and posting? When you can do that by simply contacting your friends and love ones. Another aspect I didn't understand about Facebook was the whole idea of Posting your mood, thoughts, and ideas, From my point of view who would care what you were thinking. But a year later my whole perspective on social media has changed. During the year I found my friends creating their own accounts and in order to keep up with the social trend I decided to create my own account. But what motivated me to actually log in was my family, My aunts, uncles, and cousins started creating accounts, Facebook transformed into an outlet where I could keep in contact with relatives even if they happened to live a distance away.
